Description:
This exhibition is set up for the encouragement of cultural heritage and development of the micro-entrepreneurs and artisans who are the practitioners of traditional crafts linked to the selected religious and heritage sites in Punjab. Intensive capacity development training workshops were conducted for the artisans, craftsperson and micro-entrepreneurs focusing on design aesthetic, product development, storytelling, regional ownership, digital marketing through social media platforms and e-commerce as well as life skills in personal development, communication, presentation and hygiene. The displayed products are a result of the design and product development interventions conducted by the Department of Textile, Fashion and Accessories, Mariam Dawood School of Visual Arts and Design, Beaconhouse National University (BNU), Lahore for UNESCO Pakistan, with funding from the Punjab Tourism for Economic Growth Project (PTEGP)
