Descriptions:
This work, exhibited at a building materials exhibition as part of the archives and research segment, showcases British blueprints from my grandfather’s library. Once revered relics, they became design inspiration—now, they symbolize subjugation. The British-documented blueprints embody both admiration and control, as the Archaeological Survey of India preserved heritage while enforcing colonial dominance. This project re-examines these records, exposing the imperial gaze that captured, cataloged, and subdued a civilization under the guise of preservation. By confronting these documents, I challenge their authority and invite a deeper interrogation of historical narratives.
