Artistic & Curatorial Philosophy

My practice is rooted in the belief that art serves as a powerful bridge between cultures, communities, and conversations. Through exhibitions, curatorial projects, and academic research, I explore how contemporary art can illuminate the spaces between traditional and modern, local and global, personal and political. Working at the intersection of traditional crafts and contemporary art, I investigate how cultural heritage can inform and transform modern artistic practice. My curatorial approach centers on creating inclusive platforms that amplify underrepresented voices and challenge established narratives. Through international collaborations spanning Pakistan, India, Canada, Austria, France, and the UK, I strive to foster cross-cultural dialogue that transcends geographical and ideological boundaries. Each project represents a commitment to art as a tool for social change, cultural preservation, and human connection.

Grappling with the simultaneity of mourning and celebration; my wedding veil, layered with text from my son's gravestone, speaks to our collective negotiation with time, our resilience and submission to it.
My curatorial projects further my interdisciplinary inquiry where I find moments of artistic significance in life itself. Through these transnational dialogues and meaningful metaphors, I seek to challenge disciplinary and geographical confinements and expand the discourse around labor, care, and resilience through emotions that go beyond time, space and politics.
