Description:

“This work arose from a speculation of immediacy and concurrency of time; using representational motifs of celebration and devastation – fused and layered into one another. The immediacy of various emotions and the concurrency of various roles. Reflective of the contemporary virtual world, where you mourn and celebrate often in the same breath.

“Sher” (lion) while making the convergence of emotions palpable, speaks about time; our bravery to withstand and slavery to submit to it, simultaneously.

*The deeply personal work is my wedding veil, layered with the text thats on my son’s grave, laser cut on marble in real but here on Buckram.
